A2 Media Studies

We chose to do this video because we felt like it would be a challenge and since we as a group are better at editing we thought it would be good to try something containing a large edit job so we could expand on our skills. The video required us to use a green screen which we had never done before so that was a challenge in its self to get setup and to actual get our effect onto the screen. We also had to make the animated background for the re-creation so photoshop was a large part of our video and we spent a lot of time getting the mountains cutting them down and making them look like there from the same reigon. Then cutting our video to the beat was a challenge since it was a pretty fast paced song and hard to meet perfectly. Not only was the editing a challenge for us because we then had to nail a dance routine and since we only had a few weeks to complete this we didn't have large planning time to go find a dancer so we had to use a group member being me and a dance routine was needed. i had never danced on camera and hadn't done dance since primary school because it was not a hobby so to dance on a table in a suit was a challenge.

I think our overall outcome was good as we met the re-creationdeadline and we made a video that was at good standard. The time we had limited us to how perfect we could make it however with the time we had i think our final product was good and just needed a bit of cleaning up such as the boulder movement could have been smoother. As for the lip syncing i think it was very clear and understandable rather than a mutter so the lip syncing was not a problem for us.
